A Bird's NEST at Rajan's NEST

Heard of a wheel within a wheel, but a nest within a NEST?
We had a Bulbul build a nest in one of our plants behind our house ... and the eggs are so tiny. The kids can't wait to see it hatch and little fledglings come out of it.

A Bulbul (could this be a male one?)

The nest of a red-whiskered Bulbul

The first few days - she was very scared, at the slightest sound - she would fly away ... but then she got used to us. Now she doesn't care!

Here she is!  In her cozy little nest

Got this JACKFRUIT from the seminary last week - it was wasting and rotting away and not many gave good reports about this fruit - we took a chance and it turned out to be really sweet!
Taking the edible portion out of this fruit can be nightmare - as it is sticky and messy - but Carmen did well!

The finished & cleaned product
Theo loved it - never had jackfruit which was this sweet :-)

This is what we ended up with, after an arduous cleaning session - YUMMY!!

New Academic Year

Time is going by ever so quickly.
It seems like as though it was just yesterday, that the kids were excited about their 70 days 'summer holidays' and here we are getting ready for the beginning of yet another academic year!

Had to take Theo this morning to the salon to have his hair cut
Almost in readiness - getting ready for the new academic year
Theo's School books for Std.V (5th Grade) ... He is quite excited, as he gets to learn French as his second language.
Hindi will be his third language at school - which would mean that level would be considerably low.

Will be interesting to see how these books look like in a month's time from now.

Tryphena will be in Std.VIII.
Officially the class begins on 2nd of June, which would be half-day.
